TCR026 | PODCAST – Christmas warm-ups to get your choir feeling festive

In our final podcast of the year, we give you some fun (and rather silly!) warm-ups and exercises for you to share with your choir as you wind down for the holidays. We hope you like them.

We mention a great song in the podcast, The Music Theory Song. Check out the video and download the score here.

    Hi.
You were asking if anyone knew any Christmas carols involving intervals of major sevenths or octaves.
It’s not that well-known but the chorus of John Rutter’s ‘Star Carol’ is perfect for both and does lots of other intervals into the bargain!
‘See that star’ (octave) ‘shining bright’ (major seventh) ‘in the sky’ (major sixth) ‘this Christmas night’. ‘Follow me’ (major sixth again) ‘joyfully’.(perfect fifth).
    Hope this helps.
Thanks for all the tips on your website.

Thanks Stella. That’s a great suggestion.
