#182 What in the world is happening with choirs?

When this all started and we had to cancel our choir rehearsals back in March, it was tough, but at least we were all in the same boat.

As different countries have tackled the pandemic in more or less effective ways, our experiences are diverging.

So for this podcast, we’ve asked some of our choir leader friends and Total Choir Resources members from around the world to tell us how they’re getting on and what the situation is in their country.

Such an important point, Christine about the effect of negative information on our wellbeing. I would love to hear more about where you find your good news stories. Even though we are here in an oasis, the news and social environment is so packed with sad and scary news and it can be hard to stay positive and with hope. It’s important to me to keep abreast of political and world news so having a way to

Victoria, that was a lovely pronunciation of Aotearoa. :-)

So interesting to hear where others are at in our global choir community.
We know all too well how hard it is for many singers to not be able to come to choir. Many though will not now how much harder it is for those of us that are so passionate that we move to song leading. Because we sure don’t do it for the money! ;-) Leading choir feeds my soul, it brings me energy and a way of providing for, and being a part of, my community. Sending aroha♡ to you both and all song leaders that cannot yet be back in person with there choirs.

Kia kaha (stay strong) everyone – this too will pass. ♡♡♡♡
